Default How to Play on the 2.4.3 Raid-Server

The following is a step by step guide that will help you connect/play to the 2.4.3 Raid Server
First, you will need a 2.4.3 Client with TBC(The Burning Crusade) installed.
It can be obtained in seven easy steps.
1. Download World of Warcraft Client 1.0.0 (3 - 3.11 GB) - enUS, enGB, deDE, esES, frFR.
2. Download World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade 2.0.0 (2.1 - 2.27 GB) - enUS, enGB, deDE, esES, frFR
3. Download Patch 2.4.0 (0.9 - 1.1 GB) - enUS, enGB, deDE, esES, frFR
4. Download Patch 2.4.1 (4.77 - 5.06 MB) - enUS, enGB, deDE, esES, frFR
5. Download Patch 2.4.2 (9.03 - 15.07 MB) - enUS, enGB, deDE, esES, frFR
6. Download Patch 2.4.3 (18.73 - 27.27 MB) - enUS, enGB, deDE, esES, frFR
7. Install everything in the following order -
Code:
World of Warcraft >> World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade >> 2.4.0 >> 2.4.0 - 2.4.1 >> 2.4.1 - 2.4.2 >> 2.4.2 - 2.4.3
After all this has been installed and you have a 2.4.3 WoW client, go into the directory you installed WoW into, most commonly (C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft), and locate a file called realmlist or realmlist.wtf.
Open this file and it should look like
Code:
set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
set patchlist us.version.worldofwarcraft.com
change it to
Code:
set realmlist murlocvillage.servegame.com
set patchlist us.version.worldofwarcraft.com
Once this is done, start WoW using WoW.exe in the folder, if you don't it might patch by default.
Enjoy!

Troubleshooting:
Quote:
I already have a WoW installation, so its not letting my install the clients you told me to download.
  1. Go to Start->Run, type "regedit"
  2. Once Registry Editor has opened go to
    Code:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft
  3. Delete the World of Warcraft folder located in
    Code:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Blizzard Entertainment
  4. Then install.
Additional Note: If you want to go back and patch up your 3.2+ directory.
  1. Go into
    Code:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft
  2. Change
    Code:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft\InstallPath
to the directory of your 3.2+ WoW folder.

Some users running 64-bit systems or those of us lucky enough to have a copy of windows Se7en (/end brag) may find it in a different sub-directory

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Blizzard Entertainment

Happy oldschool raidingz.
